I had an idea of a bird playing with a woman's hair based off of his reference here.

When I started out, I had no idea what kind of bird I would paint, or what kind of BG I would have. I didn't expect to end up with water in this painting either.
I think there were alot of little unexpected elements in this painting. The bird ended up being something like a little falcon, and the woman is apparently bathing in the water. Could be a hot spring too, since I added some mist/ steem in the BG.

It has taken me a while to finish off some of my cg works since I've been working in more traditional mediums lately. But I'm back.

Based off another of my pencil drawings, this one is a sort of spine off of he idea behind the Jenova character from Final Fantasy 7. The disembodiment thing isn't my usual subject matter, but for some odd reason I found it fascinating. She almost looks like a plant, or some strange humanoid capable of body regeneration.
I don't know why, but I drew her with a sort of core in the center of her body. I guess now that I think about it, it could be the very life source that causes her to have extreme regenerative abilities.

The BG was painted rather loosely, but the main focus is the lab-tank with the girl. Just trying out a looser technique I guess.
Hope you enjoy this one.

This one was based off a drawing done months back. I decided to give her the colors of Fall since we're nearly there. Her hair is supposed to look like seaweed or sea kelp, and I used it as a border for the character, hence how some parts of her aren't visible. Hope you like. ~Angela

Another fantasy work that took me quite a few weeks to complete.
This painting was based off of a pen sketch I did a few months back. I finally decided to bring it to life in photoshop, and I got what you see here.
This woman with the fiery wings of a phoenix has risen out of a great fissure in the earth, materializing from the molten lava beneath.
Hope you like it. ~Angela

Catch Me

The concept here is that of a fairy playing tag with a fox, hence the name 'catch me'. This one took me a very long time to complete, and with a mouse no less. But I've been painting with a mouse for years, so I'm used to it. ^_^ The BG was a challenge but I'm glad I finally completed it. I hope you guys like it. ~Angela

A type of fairy I guess, and she is portrayed in the theme of rebirth hence the roots and the wings that spring forth like leaves from her back. The wings were inspired by a seahorse species known as the leafy seadragon.

The lighting may be a little off, and the linework is pencil, so not absolutely clean cut. I'm working on doing better lines though.~Angela
